04 / GOOD TO KNOW

Why does it turn cloudy?

When water is added, herbal oils that were dissolved in alcohol disperse into tiny droplets. This gives the drink its cloudy appearance, known as the louche.

Should I drink it neat?

Cold-water dilution is a well-known serving method. Some bottles have a high alcohol content, so ask us about a diluted serving for your first glass.
